Review in Progrocks.gr Translation of sorts: Somewhere between stunning second (Book Of Hours) and third (Ghosts Of Love) album of Green Pajamas, o Jeff Kelly, guitarist and singer, he recorded a cassette for the Green Monkey Records.
While the Green Pajamas are generally an electrical schematic of neopsychedeleias, the cassette is called Coffee In Nepal only acoustic guitar Kelly, his voice and some vocals belonging to Susanne Kelly, who is the young wife of Jeff . (Listen to “Oh How I Love You” here.)
Greece is the country that this work is best known as the cassette Green Monkey released on vinyl five years later by DiDi Music. A beautiful loving disc juvenilia songs but reliefs showing the sensitivity and musicality of the songwriter Jeff, so close and yet so far from the aesthetics of the Green Pajamas.
Now, almost thirty years later, Jeff with Susanne circulating continuity Coffee In Nepal titled By Reckless Moonlight. The album finds them more in love than it used to unroll the folk searches with considerably more electrically. Participation of Susanne is much more evident and it is just her own view that makes the end result much more psychedelic.
The By Reckless Moonlight puts no nomination for the best albums of the year but it is a beautiful drive reverie, monitoring the phases of the moon and hope that people who make two people can last. Enjoy “I ‘d Rather Be Filming In Vanda’s Room” here.
