Across 35th

Across 35th can trace their origins back to the fall of 2014 when would-be singer/songwriter, Mimi Katz, and future drummer, Lincoln Ross, met in kindergarten. Seven years later in middle school they teamed up with bassist Logan Stallard and lead guitarist Dylan Welch and their lineup was complete. In a rather esoteric move, they named their band Across 35th from the fact that they have to cross the busy avenue of the same name to get to the big pink house where they rehearse. The band meets regularly at the Pink House to jam and hang out. The gear they play on is the very same drums and amps that the Green Pajamas used when they recorded 'Kim The Waitress' back in 1985 with Tom Dyer. All four members of Across 35th are freshmen at West Seattle High School. This is their first recording —their debut single— but rest assured, you can expect more great music from these youngsters in the coming months. —Joe Ross
