I am sad to report that Jon Strongbow has left this mortal coil after a battle with cancer. Jon was a long-time Seattle musician, artist and author. His first Green Monkey release was the A Normal Sort Of Guy cassette in 1987, followed by the Something Different LP in 1989. In 2020, Green Monkey began reissuing his catalog in the digital realm, starting with Steve Turnidge’s remaster of 1979’s Alien City. In keeping with the family’s wishes, Green Monkey will continue to reissue his catalog. Jon was one of a kind, an artist, a visionary and a kook. We will miss him.
