Ok – catching up – Saturday after a frothy opening by Unmanned Drone, The Green Pajamas got up and did a bewitching set, featuring selections from the last ten years albums. The Queen Bee Is Dead feature real live ACCORDIAN and was particularly well received. The audience was not fully trained on its false stop and applauded vigorously, only to have it restart. Imagine their delicious surprise! The PJs were in top form indeed, Ellen!
Due to the vagaries of Pacific Daylight Time, The Icons were held to a concise set to close the evening, but made the most of it, rocking with a relentless vigor. Their version of the Pajamas’ Dancin’ In The Jailhouse was one of the finest reading given that composition.
A fine time was had by all!
