THE HEATS IS STREAMING ALBUM OF DA MONTH!

June, June it’s time to croon with the first official GMR AotM of Summer – The Heats!

If you were around Seatown in 1979 and you may recall when The Heats were considered the next big thing in Seattle. In their heyday they were the hottest NW draw in clubland and the all-ages scene. They made one great album, a couple singles, toured nationally with The Knack (My Sharona) but eventually packed it in. Much of their oevure was released on Chucky-Boy in ’98.

However.

We decided it was time to remind everyone what an excellent band these guys were by streaming the following for the entire month of June:

a) The complete Have An Idea album in its original order

b) 2 additional tracks released on the Chuckie-Boy CD Smoke.

c) Both tunes from their Rivals/Count On Me single – unheard for a million years

d) Unreleased live tracks featuring tunes not on any of the aforementioned releases from Canada, Evergreen State College and The Showbox on Thanksgiving 1979.

If you need proof that these guys belong in the non-existent Northwest Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, this is it. Twenty-two songs. 100% catchy. 100% rock. Tune in and get happy.

Former Heats remain active: Steve Pearson is playing with Jim Basnight of the Moberlys in The NW Rivals who will be performing this Friday in Seattle at Club Motor. Don Short’s band Random Manor made an album recently, started with the late, great Tom Pfaeffle.
